Our story

Welcome to PCS

Prairie Christian School was established in 1991 to provide students a Christ-centered learning environment coupled with high academic standards.  The first school year consisted of 10 students in K – 8th grades, with two teachers.  Classes were held in the original brick portion of the school. 

With the help of generous donors a few years later, a large, all-purpose room was added to the north, and in 2002, it was converted into a gymnasium.

As more families began to seek alternative choices for their children’s education, enrollment continued to grow.  The board saw a need for more classroom and break-out space.  With the financial help and skilled labor of its generous donor base, Prairie Christian School completed its most recent addition.
