Welcome to Prairie Christian School

Our Story

Founded in 1991, Prairie Christian School (PCS) was established to provide a Christ-centered educational environment combined with high academic standards. The school’s journey began with a modest start: only 10 students spanning Kindergarten through 8th grade, guided by two dedicated teachers in a single classroom within the original brick section of the school. Since those early days, PCS has been committed to fostering a supportive, close-knit learning community where students of all ages can grow together.

Over the years, with the support of generous donors, PCS expanded its facilities to better serve its growing student body. A large, multi-purpose room was added to the north wing a few years after the school’s founding. In 2002, this room was transformed into a gymnasium, further enriching the student experience with a space dedicated to physical activity and community events.

As more families began to seek alternative educational options aligned with Christian values, enrollment continued to grow. Recognizing the need for additional classroom and breakout spaces, the school completed its most recent addition with the help of a generous donor base and skilled volunteers. Today, PCS stands as a testament to the vision and dedication of its founders, staff, and supporters, providing a vibrant, faith-based educational experience for all.
